Once again Megan, my trusty travel agent extraordinaire, arranged a trip to Wales for the Bank Holiday weekend. All I had to do was
turn up at Earls Court on Friday evening with my backpack and cash. There
I met Megan, Justine and Laura and the other 12 members of our group. Six and
a half hours later, we pulled into Caernarfon in North Wales where we went inside the town walls and collapsed in our comfy B&B.

We realised we'd never been up and about quite so early when we left the B&B to walk around the town at 8:45am,
after a hearty full-cooked English breakfast. We explored the delightful little
town and heard Welsh being spoken for the first time.

We then unknowingly hopped into the van, headed for Snowdon, the highest peak
in England and Wales, rising to 1085m. Little did we know what it actually
meant to climb it! Laura and I got to know Esther and Ronnie well as we lumbered
up the mountain, taking the estimated 3 hours to climb up the steady, often steep, sometimes stepped, path to the top. We were extremely lucky with the weather, which held out, despite the forecast being
poor. I even got a bit of sunburn!
