September is turning out to be quite a traumatic month - heaps of my friends
are leaving! Megan, Suse, Susy, Christine and Keri and Damian are all heading back to greener pastures in Godzone New
Zealand. Are there any kiwis left in London? I get asked when I bemoan the grand exodos. Well yes, there are,
but far fewer in my circle of friends!

Most of these photos were taken at Megan and Susy's combined leaving do,
where a huge group of kiwis took over the unsuspecting locals in a quiet bar alongside the Thames in Hammersmith, on Saturday
18 September.

There's a couple of photos from Suse's leaving lunch, the following day,
just hours before she left us on Sunday 19 September. Already we've heard from Suse, who is enjoying the scenery and
friendliness in New Zealand. I'm perhaps a tiny bit jealous...

Lov-er-ly |
After lunch (which proved quite entertaining for reason unrelated to Suse's
imminent departure) we wandered along the South Bank, taking photos of
London landmarks and even crossing the wobbly bridge. Every step was counted, thanks to the free pedometers being given
out for International Walking Day. The Thames Festival was on and the South Bank was bustling and crowded with people
out enjoying what could well be one of the last fine days this year...
