Thursday was the last day and the itinerary was relaxed. We took a walk in Rothiemurthus, alongside Loch an Eilein, which
had a small castle in the middle of it. We checked out Ruthven Barracks and had another good pub lunch in Kingussie.

After a short stop in Dunkeld, it was back to Edinburgh, and the end of the tour. I had a fabulous week, and was just thrilled
with the quality of story and history telling from Stocky, which made the whole trip so interesting, not to mention the jokes
and ridiculous dances (faerie, haggis or nessie!). The weather wasn't always brilliant but we did see some sunshine and the
countryside was stunning. As usual, the week away felt like much longer, as we had experienced so much.

Justine, Megan and I had one more night in Edinburgh, along with Justine's sister Tenille. We had our last pub meal for
a while, washed down with more beer and then went in search of a big night out, the one thing I missed during the week. Unfortunately
Edinburgh seemed to be recovering from the festival and there wasn't a lot going on.

On Friday we had a leisurely start and then Megan and I headed to Newcastle. We immediately noticed the increased temperature
and looked forward to a warmer, sunnier weekend. On Friday we checked out Newcastle's centre and pub zone and visited the
Castle Keep, which was one of the most interesting I've seen. We had a massive, brilliant night out on Friday, which was just
what I'd needed. We were befriended by a restaurateur who made sure we saw all the cheesiest bars and clubs, which was just
great.
Saturday we went to Wallsend, the site of the end (or more accurately start) of Hadrian's Wall, and had a quieter night
before heading back to London on Sunday morning. It was a great week.
