I worked for the LondonBorough of Havering from February to July 2004.
It was my first job as a lawyer in London. I am really grateful to the team for giving me the opportunity to get back
into the law, even though I had never worked in child protection in the UK. I worked for six months as a social services
lawyer, concentrating on working in the child protection area.

This is Abe, a social services team manager, who was my biggest fan! |

There were lots of antipodean locums and other young people in the Havering
team, which made it a lot of fun and a great supportive team.

I left not because I was unhappy but because I got an offer I couldn't
refuse, when I wasn't even looking for anything else. My leaving drinks were on Friday 30 July 2004, which is when
most of these photos were taken.
