Monday
was a day of truly doing nothing at all. After sleeping through breakfast I felt so tired at 10am that I had to go back to bed for another nap! We stopped
for the afternoon at Ilovik and got some exercise exploring the island here too. There
wasn’t an awful lot to discover though! Pogled headed east this afternoon
to Novalja on Pag Island. The evening’s itinerary was identical
to every other one so far with the addition of a spectacular sunset over the ocean.
Tonight we made an unusual decision to eat at a mexican restaurant and had one of the most hysterical nights I’ve
had in a long time. The discussion of red planets was fuelled by frozen margaritas
and tequila shots and while the night ended with an unsuccessful attempt to steal a giant Corona bottle, the quote of the night became the quote of the week:
“It’s too early for sausages!”. (I really think you had to
be there, but even our cute English-language-impaired waiter “Calipso” got the joke eventually.)

After
picking up Marin and devouring more gelato, we ended up in Kokomos dancing the night away.
Just when I thought it was time to go home, Laura suggested a midnight skinny dip – so off she, I and Jen went! Novalja’s never heard so much hilarity in one night!
