On Thursday Mum, Dad and I left with their yacht Bright Sparx to go to Lake Benmore in the Waitaki Valley in North Otago.  Mum and Dad have sailed there with the Otago Yacht Squadron every Easter for years and this year they had expected to take Kimberley and Andrew with them - only I went instead!  It was disappointingly cold but fine and it was a pleasant few days.  I did absolutely nothing, got no exercise whatsoever and slept about 10 hours a day - bliss!  The good thing about coming home for two weeks after a year away is that your parents let you away with it too!
